Enhanced Bulk Upload Capabilities "Add by Track Link"

Dear Team,

I am writing to suggest a crucial enhancement to your platform’s uploading capabilities. As a frequent user who manages extensive playlists and albums, I find the current upload process to be too time-consuming and inefficient. I believe the following enhancements could significantly improve the experience for all users, particularly content creators and curators.

Proposed Feature: Enhanced Mass Upload with Metadata Handling

I’d love to see a feature implemented that allows for mass uploading tracks by simply copying and pasting multiple links (e.g., 30 track links at once) and having them upload simultaneously with their corresponding metadata. Currently, adding tracks one by one and then inputting metadata separately for each is too slow, especially since the files already contain this metadata.

Key Benefits:

  1. Efficiency: This feature would reduce the time spent on uploading tracks and manually inputting metadata, as the files already carry the necessary information.

  2. User Experience: Enhancing the platform to be more user-friendly, particularly for those managing bulk uploads.

  3. Competitive Advantage: Streamlining content management in this way could attract more users who need robust bulk handling capabilities.

Additional Request: Bulk Metadata Recognition

A significant issue currently is that when a song is uploaded with attached metadata, the system fails to recognize and upload this data alongside the track. This oversight necessitates manual re-entry of details for each song, a process that is both slow and frustrating. Integrating automatic metadata recognition with bulk uploads would eliminate this redundancy and greatly speed up the process. Additionally, allowing for CSV files containing song file URLs and metadata or enabling URL uploads to handle multiple items at once would be highly beneficial. The current “add by track URL” feature does capture metadata from each URL but lacks bulk processing capabilities, which is inefficient.

I appreciate your consideration of these proposed improvements and hope to see them implemented soon, as they would greatly enhance the usability and functionality of your platform.

Well for paying $1000 a year for 400 players, it gets hard uploading with such a system. Might go somewhere else next year.

While we try to incorporate as much feedback as possible, we have to prioritize updates across all of our 95 widgets, which can sometimes mean longer timelines for certain features. That said, we absolutely value your input and it will definitely be considered as we continue to improve our widgets.
