Interesting idea, thanks for sharing! Could you just describe why you’d need to collect this info in exchange for a download?

We have partners that give us MP3 files to download. Sometimes it’s PDF files for book previews. In exchange, we want to collect emails and zip codes to build our database.
We give them something, they give us something.
