Hey there. I was interested in a widget like this as well. This thread is 2 years old. What is the status of something like this. It seems like it is a basic option that would be commonly available on any platform like this. How do we get this thing going?

I was looking for something like this and it had already been brought up - 2 YEARS AGO! This is something basic that all such platforms should have. Just trying to get attention back to this app and its development.

i think you need a mobile carrier that delivers your SMS.

Elfsight cannot take over the carrier task itself, but certainly the appropriate widget to deliver the message to the carrier.

Receive an SMS once a form is submitted [Workaround in the comments]

Hi @Rob-S Our devs have checked your workaround and you were absolutely right! Receiving data from the form via SMS is possible, but only if the customer’s mobile carrier offers the “Receive SMS via Email” option. In that case, there should be no issues, and the data will come through (keep in mind for 320-character limit for SMS). A huge thank you for such a valuable insight

I am afraid this app won’t be released in the near future. The thing is that we consider requests based on their complexity and number of votes they received. Right now, we have a lot of requests with the higher priority and our devs are working on them.

In the meantime, you may consider the suggestion by @Sina. You can use our Form widget (Form Builder or Contact Form), choose the Floating Pane layout and the form will appear on button click:

hey there, I think there might be some confusion - as to the level of detail, that I was looking for. take the click to call app - You click the call button via the website on your phone, it opens your calling app with the phone number loaded. Can we get the same for click to text? It would be nice to just have a button that says click to text. when the button is opened it opens the phones native texting app with the number already loaded.

Got your point! Right now, unfortunately, it’s impossible to do this, but we’ll try to think about this opportunity in the future, especially if more users find it interesting.

By the way, we have a similar request for the Click to Call (allow to text as well, not only call) app, and you can upvote it too - Click to Text
