To make video popup when users click Play icon in Squarespace, you can follow these.
#1. First, create a page in Not Linked with Name/URL
- Video Popup - URL: /video-popup
#2. Add a Video Block to Video Popup Page
#3. Find ID of Video Block
In my example, it is: #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1736821853013_14404
#4. Next, edit page where you use play icon > Add play icon (You can use Image Block to do this).
#5. Click Attach Link > Enter this URL format.

Make sure “Open in New Tab” is disabled.
#6. Install Popup Plugin
You can use code: TUAN to get 10% discount
Plugin will give you some code to Code Injection > Header
and Footer
#7. Result
When users click Play icon > Video Popup will appear.
