My Christmas feels complete with a few must-have traditions:

Hunting for the perfect real Christmas tree and decorating it together as a family
Christmas lights — driving around yelling “CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!” with my husband and kids
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day spent with our kids, family, and friends — eating, drinking, laughing, and being merry
(If I can sneak in a bonus ) Cruising through the snow in my purple Jeep

Noël, pour moi, c’est avant tout le plaisir de se retrouver en famille et de se déconnecter complètement du quotidien. On ne pense à rien d’autre qu’à passer un bon moment ensemble, à rire et à profiter. J’adore organiser des jeux et des défis familiaux le 24, ça crée toujours de beaux souvenirs.

Offrir avec attention

Offrir des cadeaux fait aussi partie de la magie de Noël. Ce que j’aime, c’est montrer aux personnes que j’aime qu’on les écoute toute l’année, en choisissant des cadeaux qui ont vraiment du sens et qui viennent du cœur.

La magie des décorations

Enfin, les décorations et les jolies couleurs de Noël rendent cette période unique. Que ce soit chez nous ou en se promenant en ville, cette ambiance lumineuse et chaleureuse apporte une vraie magie aux fêtes.

For me, Christmas is first and foremost about the joy of spending time with family and completely disconnecting from everyday life. We think of nothing but having a good time together, laughing, and enjoying ourselves. I love organizing family games and challenges on the 24th; it always creates wonderful memories.

Giving gifts is also part of the magic of Christmas. What I love is showing the people I care about that I listen to them all year round by choosing gifts that truly have meaning and come from the heart.

What I do in pre-Christmas days

The pre-holiday rooms clean
I don’t like it dirty. I love cleanliness: vacuuming all rooms, dusting and polishing furniture. Everything is getting better around me.

Cleaning my computer
I delete unnecessary files on the disk, I delete what is not needed. I also clean (vacuum) the system unit from dust.

Christmas movie
I like to watch some movies. One of them is “Home Alone” part 1 and 2. By the way, imagine, I also watched parts 3, 4, 5 and 6. And they’re terrible!!!

Hang a garland on the window
So that it pleases you and passers-by from the street

1. The Cinnamon Time Machine
   I open the kitchen like it’s a portal, warm something that smells of cinnamon and orange, and suddenly my brain stops running quarterly reports and starts believing in miracles again.

2. The Silence Pact
   One hour with my favorite humans where nobody performs for the internet. Just tea, soft lights, and the kind of conversation that makes the year feel forgivable.

3. The One Ridiculously Specific Tradition
   I rewatch one comfort movie while wrapping gifts like an overconfident elf with zero spatial awareness. The wrapping is tragic, the mood is perfect, and that’s the point.

Bonus: a five minute gratitude “audit” before bed, because nothing makes joy sturdier than noticing it.

With the war going on in my country for the fourth year already, celebrating Christmas doesn’t really feel the same.
So the three things that truly matter to me are my health, the health of my loved ones, and my family being safe and at peace.
