Currently if I don’t want my announcement bar-widget being displayed for a period of time, I have to select the background to transparent and text to white.
Is there a way we could have a ‘one-click’ way to effectively ‘un-publish’?
Sure! You can hide the widget on your website right from the dashboard. Just click 3 dots next your widget and choose Hide from Website:
Also, I’d like to remind you about the Schedule option on the Settings tab. Here, you can set the date and time when the widget will be displayed on the website:
However, I’d recommend you using the Hide from Website feature. This way, the views won’t be counted when the widget isn’t shown on the pages

Having forgotten I had ‘hidden’ this widget, but then had AI help remind me about the Hide/Unhide option, I just wanted to again lodge a complaint/comment that I think this is a REALLY horrible bit of UI/UX on the Elfsight dashboard.
The menu elipses to show these options are, on my screen away to the RH side, and certainly easily overlooked. This bit of awfulness could so easily be nicely solved by ten minutes coding tweak on this page to get the Hide/Unhide options closer to where the Edit link is, even turning the ‘eye’ icon into a toggling link that would do the Hiding or Unhiding would be a huge improvement over what we have now!

I totally get your point and passed your feedback on to the dev team. Additionally, I’ve created a Wishlist request for this imporvement on your behalf - Make Hide/Show on website button more noticeable.
