AI Chatbot: Find the info you need faster with new Knowledge Base search

Folks, we’re excited to introduce a new search option to the AI Chatbot Knowledge Base! :rocket:

Instead of looking through the content manually, you can now enter a keyword or describe what you’re looking for, and the search will show the most relevant matches:

[!note]
The search will only work for knowledge base items added to the widget after this update.

Have you tried the new search yet? Let us know how it worked for you in the comments — we’d love to hear your feedback :slightly_smiling_face:

Great update @Max & Team,

Would duplicating the widget force the new update to work for all knowledge base items?

With thanks,

mw :man_technologist:t5: :sparkles:

Hi there, @iammasterweb :waving_hand:

Many thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately, the knowledge base can’t be automatically moved to the duplicated widget now. We already have this idea on the Wishlist and if it gets more votes, we’ll try to think it over in the future - Duplicate the widget with the Knowledge Base

That’s a bit of bummer @Max .

It means for now, we’ll need to recreate the AI Chat Bot from scratch, and re-add all the training data. That will definitely be a pain.

I hope that WishList feature gets implemented sooner rather than later. Or is there an easy way to do a bulk import of training data?

With thanks,

mw :man_technologist:t5: :sparkles:

Yeah, I totally get that it’s not really convenient, but, unfortunately, there is ni way to change it now.

Let’s hope this idea gets more traction and the devs will be able to consider it. We’ll keep you updated :slightly_smiling_face:
