Thank you for sharing, @admin_admin2, and welcome to the community!

Could you please share some details about your use case? If would be very helpful

Would be helpful to have a widget that allows the user to control all aspects of the main site, something like the widget being used here: www.northstarmetalrecycling. com/ (hate to steal ideas from another provider but as you’re already in development of your tool please make sure you hit all these options!)

Thanks a lot for your comment, @George_Villavicencio, and for the example as well, this is very helpful!

While we don’t have the ADA compliance widget in our “next for development” list, we’ll try to consider all the suggestions when we decide to start working on it

I think you should consider it a top priority for your own business will. One thing nobody mentioned is that these widgets (more accurate, the global standard WCAG 2.1 Guidelines) will become a law in the European Union next summer. It’s the opportunity of a decade. It is like developing a cookie banner a few months before the GDPR from 2018. There will be hundreds of millions of websites that will need a solution. Right now, there are just 2 good ones on the market:

accessiBe and User Way.

These are absolutely great, as they are, but the problem with them is that they start at like 30-50$ per website. So having an affordable WCAG 2.1 or even 2.2 widget could make you an absolute fortune next summer.

As for feature considerations, you can honestly “copy” most of the things the competitors have (Color Branding, White-Lable, Compatibility with Wix, Squarespace, html etc. and so on). For the WCAG 2.1 standard, you will, of course, have to have the standard features like Text-Sizing, Screen Reading, Contrasts etc. But also it would be cool to have one feature nobody of them has, which I am absolutely looking for:

Instead of putting the “Powered by elfsight” or whatever, it would be great to be able to put “Powered by Agency XYZ” this would benefit the agency which is selling your widget to the customer.

Kind Regards

Jan

Please also make sure so language can be changed for the widget CMS so visitors can navigate the widget in their native language. Mine are Swedish but a large range of translations would be great so anyone can use it when they stumble on to a website no matter where in the world they are comming from.

@user17435 dear Jan, thank you so much for your detailed and helpful comment, it’s very much appreciated!

Your insight is very valuable, and it seems we’ll need to consider the upcoming changes carefully. I’ve already shared your feedback with the team for further discussion.

Once again, thanks a lot for your help! I’ll make sure to update you here if I have any news :raised_hands:t2:

@Bjorn_Karlsson thank you for your comment!

I’m not sure about the language detector, but it definitely sounds like a great idea for future development

With the current litigation around WCaG guidelines and website accessibility, having this widget available would support our case to use Elfsight on our sites.
