Zoom in when entering an address

  • Issue description:
Currently when a user searchs by their location the map doesn’t zoom in let’s say to show the “x” (10 ?) closest location.
how to add a zoom in when the user enters their address/location ?
Also that would be great that when user allow their browser to use their location for the widget to zoom in to their location instead of showing the “max zoom” default.

Please assist !

Hi there, @user19335

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to implement this option, but we have such a request on the Wishlist. Feel free to upvote it here :slightly_smiling_face: - Map Zoom in option

Maybe one option could be to have a different “map zoom” option :
1 “default” zoom option when landing on the map
2 “search” zoom option when user has entered an address

would that be possible to investigate this?

Hi there, @user19335

The default Zoom option is already available in the settings, Feel free to check it out:

Thanks Max,
What I would like is a second zoom option (or to disable the zoom option when accessing the page for the 1st time)

1- automap zoom when I click on ECOPAE - Particuliers (or disabled custom map zoom)
2- custom map zoom when I search my location

Is this possible through JS customization ?

Hi @user19335

  1. Now, if you open this page the widget isnt’ in the initial viewport, and you should scroll down to see it. Do you want the page to automatically scroll down to the Store Locator widget on load?

  2. As I mentioned before, it’s impossible to do this now, but we have a request for this feature on the Wishlist - Map Zoom in option

thanks for all (sorry for the daly)
i don’t want the page to automatically scroll down as people need to read text before they reach the map

Got you!

In this case, as I previously mentioned, the Map Zoom setting should work great for this case:
