so there are . pretty much NO widgets for text fields that i’ve seen, so like, can you make one please :3
i mean like, a way for site users to input text in your website
like there’s predefined text and viewers can. edit it
and it takes you to links and stuff?? idk
Hi there, @Spice_Rat and welcome to the Community ![]()
Could you please describe your use case in more detail? What predefined text you’d like to add on your website and why you’d need to let your website visitors to edit it?
This info would help us better understand your idea ![]()
ok, so, since two slashes in links don’t work with the site maker i’m using, i want to have a text field where you can input like, names of my characters in something and it’ll take you to the corresponding link,!! so yeah
So, you just want to show the initial part of the link and website users should manually paste the remaining part to get a full link, right?
Could you please also describe how users should know what characters (remaining part of the link) should be entered?
It would be really helpful if you could share your website and show your idea on a specific example ![]()
well, they’re part of the thing the characters are from, so they can just put in a bunch of random characters i made and get little bits about them
Just to clarify:
- You want to set a predefined part of the link in the text field.
- Users should be able to add some characters to this predefined text to complete the full link.
You also mentioned that your website builder doesn’t support two slashes, which is why you can’t place links there, correct?
However, I’m still a bit unclear on why users would need to create different links directly on your website, since they can just search for different pages in their browser. Could you please explain your use case in more detail?
If you could share an example of the preset text you’d like to use, along with possible modifications and why this would be helpful for users — especially why they should do it directly on your site —that would be very helpful ![]()
