Stripe buy button

A Stripe Button widget could be a quick payment solution for websites. It’s a secure and recognizable way to collect payments or donations, making the process easy for customers.

Folks, our former Wishlist portal, where our users shared their requests and suggestions, was transferred to this forum. You’re most welcome to vote, add new ideas, and leave your comments here — we surely will consider them all! :star_struck:

Hello there,

Thanks a lot for adding your idea!

We agree that it will be a great solution, and we’re happy to say that we already have this widget as our Coming Soon one. You’re most welcome to see how it’s going to look here - Stripe Button widget — Add Stripe payment button to the website [2022].

And please, don’t hesitate to share your suggestions regarding possible options for this widget - it will be a huge help for our dev team :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for your help!

I’m sorry to see this seems to have been abandoned. I would suggest taking it off the “coming soon” section that advertises this publicly on your website. It has been there over a year.

That said, here are the features that would make this an amazing utility and Stripe integration. Many people use this sort of integration for a “donate now” button.

  1. Allow for at least one meta-data field to be defined (meta-data are fields that help Stripe classify, tag and group payments and donations on their back-end)
  2. Allow for the user to define the label on the payment button, e.g. “Donate” or “Pay Now”
  3. Allow for several “preset” predefined amounts to be selected above the primary “payment button. This is common for donations ($5, $25, $100 preset amounts, for example)
  4. Allow for buyers to enter their own donation / payment amount, but configure a lower limit (minimum of $X.XX)
5.) OPTIONAL: Allow for recurring payments e.g. subscriptions. The reason this one is harder to implement is that it requires the ability to cancel at some future point.

Greetings @Juergen_Berkessel

We are so grateful for such a detailed description of your use case!

You see, since the process of developing new apps is quite complicated, we have to be picky and choose the most popular requests first.

If this app is going to gain ground, we’ll try to speed the development process. We’ll keep you informed about any changes in this thread :slightly_smiling_face:
