We’ve had a few customers say that uploading files doesn’t work in our contact form. I think it’s because the uploaded files are very small, and people are used to seeing a preview of the images in the upload field, instead of a small text below the field. Or just a solution like WeTransfer, where a box with the file name is displayed. Is it possible to change this?

At the moment, unfortunately, it’s impossible to change how the uploaded files are displayed in the File field. I am really sorry!
However, your comment totally makes sense and I agree that this enhancement could help you avoid the clients’ confusion.
We’ll try to think about this possibility in the future, especiall if the idea gets more votes
