My developers say the window stays on the website until it is filled out and sent. I this is really the case we need options to close the form - automatically after x seconds and manually by clicking on an “X” in the top right corner.

I see that you are using the Embed layout and, unfortunately, there is no way to add a Close button or automatically close the form.
You can try using the Floating Pane layout. The form will appear on the button click and it also has the Close button.
But I guess that our Popup app should cover your use case best.
Unfortunately, the Form block has only 4 field types (only Smiley Scale is missing for your use case)
However, it has a close button and our devs can come up with a custom code to automatically close it after a certain period of time.
