I’d like to create articles, format them and then post them programmatically via REST API to be published according to calendar or saved as a draft (hidden).

Glad to say that we’ve just added an option, which allows you to set the schedule for publishing posts:
Does this feature work for you or you’d still prefer to control post publishing through API according to your calendar?
