Hello! I am building websites for clients and I am using Elfsight’s form and appointment booking widgets. The forms collect information like emails, phone numbers, and names that are downloadable as CSVs that myself as the webmaster do not need access to. I’d rather not need to explain to my clients why I would need to have access to all their customers’ information, because I really do not. Not to mention, I’d like to reduce unnecessary liability for myself for having more access to data than I need to.
Is there a way to prevent myself from having access to the CSV responses collected by Elfsight’s forms?
I see that my colleague Natalia has already reached out to you in a support ticket. As she said, we can erase all responses once, but the new one will still be added to the CSV once someone submits their request. Unfortunately, we can’t disable this feature in the user’s account completely.
As an alternative, if you wish, you can ask your client to create an account and purchase their own subscription. In this case, we’ll be able to transfer the necessary widgets to their account. They’ll manage the apps on their own, and no one but the client will have access to the widget.
If you have any further questions, feel free to get back to Natalia. She’ll be happy to help
