Preventing names or specific words from being translated

How do I omit names throughout the article from being translated? For example, names, company names, etc. that I want to stay in english but everything else needs to be translated

Hi there, @Contagion_Media

You can use the Translation Exclusions option in our app. Feel free to check it out

If any difficulties come up, please send me a link to the page where your widget is installed and specify what words you’d like to exclude from translations.

I tried it and it didn’t work. I’m trying to prevent Sarel Moon from being translated on this page Through Her Lens: The Vibrant World of Photographer Sarel Moon - Contagion Media

It is an artist name so we don’t need that word translated

Thank you!

You should add span class for the Sarel Moon. Here is how it should look: <span class="any-class">Sarel Moon</span>

You can replace any-class with the custom class you’d like to use. And after that, please add the class you’ve chosen to the Translation Exclusions in your widget’s settings.

Check it out and let me know if it helped :slightly_smiling_face:

Having trouble with this. Were does <span class="any-class">Sarel Moon</span> go? in the exclusion or in the actual article? Can you provide directions on how to do this. This isnt clear.

You should add the span tag with any class to your website’s HTML. Once it’s done, add the class you assigned to Sarel Moon to the Exclusions in the widget’s settings.

Please let me know if it helped or if you have any questions left :slightly_smiling_face:
