Logarithmic Scale for Slider

Please allow us to have the slider represent values on a Logarithmic Scale instead of just being linear. This would help when we are requesting values over a large range. Thank you!

Hi there, @Daniel

Thanks for sharing your idea with us!

Just to clear things up: instead of the linear Slider field, you’d like to show a graph like this, right?

Max,

Thank you for replying!

No, I love and still want the slider. HOWEVER, instead of the slider moving along the axis in a linear fashion, I would love the option for it to move along the axis in a logarithmic fashion.

For example, in the image below, it shows the options from 20 to 20,000. In a linear slider, it’s super hard to select the most used smaller options. But, in a Logarithmic slider, its much easier to select the most used small options, while still able to slide it to the larger options.

Our previous calculator solution (Web Calculator Designer - Calculoid.com) had this feature which was super useful for our industry (Residential HOA Management). Most HOAs have 0 to 50 homes, but there are some rarer larger HOAs up to 20,000 homes.

Thank you for the consideration!

I see, thank you so much for clarification!

We’ll try to think about this opportunity in the future updates, especially if more users upvote this idea :slightly_smiling_face:
