I’d like the ability to prominently display the most recent video from a playlist or channel above a grid of videos.
The featured video would include a large thumbnail, channel name, video title and description. The remaining videos in the playlist would appear below.

Nice idea, thanks for sharing your example! We’ll try to think it over in the future, especially if more users upvote this idea 
Perhaps this feature exists and I can’t locate it, but sometimes there are important, popular videos that I don’t want to disappear after the layout settings dictate that they would. That is I currently have a row of 3 columns, and 2 rows. I could add a third row, but it would be helpful if that 3rd row could be videos that are specifically chosen rather than being driven by the chosen sort order.

Currently, there is no way to feature specific videos beyond the chosen sorting option. However, we already have a similar Wishlist request.
