Thank you! Let me check and get back to you!
Hi Max, as for the custom limit of 300 posts mentioned above, is it about my Tumblr account (@lastlightsnet), or are you referring to the specific feed (https://2a12030814ee40459ee2f81d8cc54fa8.elf.site)? Iāve tried āShow posts containing keywordā filter on a different feed (https://82aed3b42a754cf096bb1bbe3f38532e.elf.site), but didnāt show posts that are older than 100 posts.
Another question is that photos in the second feed above are in low-res (both the default views and pop-ups). Do you have any idea why? Thank you again for your help!
Hi there @Joey_J
The custom limit is applied to a specific widget. Iāve added the custom limit for the 2nd feed and everything should be fine now. Please check it and let me know how it works
Iāve talked to our devs regarding the image resolution and thatās what they said. The widget adjusts image quality based on screen resolution. For Retina screens, itās twice as good due to higher pixel density. If you checked your widget on a regular screen, the images got standard quality at 250px width. This speeds up widget loading and prevents unnecessary loading of high-res images for lower screen resolutions.
However, previously, the images were only available in high and low quality. Now, weāve refined this logic, and the widget utilizes all available image resolutions, ranging from 75px width to the maximum possible.
Could you please check this widget and let me know if the image quality got better?
If possible, it would be awesome if you could check the widget both on regular and retina screens.
Thanks Max! As for āthis widgetā you mentioned above, the image quality (both default view and pop-ups) is clearly low-res on a regular screen (desktop PC), but looks good (high-res) on a Retina screen (my iPhone).
Now I can confirm that the filter (Show posts containing keyword) is working perfectly on my second widget (https://82aed3b42a754cf096bb1bbe3f38532e.elf.site/).
Whatās strange about the image resolution is that both default view and pop-ups are in high-res (even on a regular screen) for my first widget (https://2a12030814ee40459ee2f81d8cc54fa8.elf.site), but on my second widget (the link in the previous paragraph), everything is low-res (on a regular screen). I wonder what is making this difference.
FYI, the first widget simply shows the latest 20 photos (Iām not using any filter at all) while the second widget uses a filter (Show posts containing keyword) to show selected photos. Does this info help?
As a photography enthusiast myself, I always want my photos to be shown in high-res even if doing so takes longer to load the page.
Thanks a million for such a thorough comment. Thatās really helpful!
Iāve shared this info with our devs. Weāll check things and will get back to you
Hi @Max, Iām testing something else now, and let me share my findings. In https://82aed3b42a754cf096bb1bbe3f38532e.elf.site/, Iām using āShow specific postā filter to show 4 photos. The first 3 (all posted in the last few months) are in high-res (both the default view and pop-up), but the 4th photo (posted in 2015) is in low-res (s250x400 in the default view; s640x960 in pop-up).
Any idea what is causing this? In my other experiments, the result was same (older posts are shown in low-res). Thank you in advance for your advice again!
Oh, I see. I am really sorry about this issue!
Weāll check this as well, Iāll keep you updated.
Thank you so much for bringing this info to our attention, itās highly appreciated
Hi @Joey_J
Weāve enhanced image processing logic and improved the image resolution for usual screens, that should fix all the previous issues.
Please check your widgets and let me know if everything is fine
Yes, working perfectly! Thank you so much for all the help! These widgets really are the game changer, thank you!
Perfect!
You are very welcome
