Has Poll Issue been fixed?

  • Poll Widget is great, but when we deployed it last October, unscrupulous visitors were refreshing their page and clicking massive amounts of votes within minutes. Might have even utilized bots, as they racked up over 50,000 votes over a weekend.

Has the Poll widget been correct to either allow only one vote, or one vote per day from an IP address?

Thank you so much for your reply. Can you tell me is it set up to only accept one vote per IP, OR is it one vote per IP per diem???

The widget allows only 1 vote from a specific browser. For example, if a user has voted from a Chrome browser, he’ll be able to vote from other browsers.

Currently, there is no way to limit votes by IP addresses, but this idea is already on the Wishlist. Feel free to upvote it here :slightly_smiling_face: - Ability to limit one vote per IP address/email
