Gallery Block with card flip for double sided images (Flip Box)

I’d love to have a gallery slide for images where the roll over allows you to have a different image when you hover, releaxvling a second image of set of data, like a card. But also allow you to scroll up dow or left to right in configuration, or fo mobile to shuffle the images for responsiveness.

It’d be helpful to have a new widget that enables me to use “flip cards” on my website.

Example: Common Ninja

This would allow me to feature key topics and then, when the user hovers over a card, it’d flip over and showcase more info about the topic.

Would be cool if the feature can be added that when an image is hovered over, it changes to a different version of that image

Be great to have a widget to insert 2 images that swap over once the mouse hovers over it. I believe the only way to do this on square space is to use CSS

I often need Flip Boxes - as a beginner in programming I sometimes have problems to integrate that to my website. Such a Widget would be great! Thanks

Unfortunately, we haven’t got such an app yet. However, we agree that it would be an awesome addition to our app catalog and we’ll try to consider this idea in our future enhancements.

It would also be extremely helpful if you could describe your case in more detail. What specific functionality are you looking for? Are there any specific animations or transitions that you would like to see in the Flipbox widget? Is your idea similar to the Flipbox widget for Elementor?

Hello,

I am currently looking for a widget to introduce employees (the “About Us” page). Do you have something planned for this?

It would be great to have the following:

  • Two alternating images (e.g., color & grayscale - either automatic or with two images provided)
  • “On scroll” effect - the image change only occurs when scrolling
  • Alternatively: Image change on hover
  • Additional alternative: When “scroll” or “hover,” a detail box appears for the respective employee, where you can enter their name, position, contact phone number, and contact email. (with corresponding text formatting)

Typically, companies have several employees. Charging as a pack of 5 or 10 would make sense to keep the cost reasonable, please. :wink:

We have a Team Showcase app where you can display your employees, but unfortunately, it doesn’t support the mentioned features. Anyway, feel free to check it out, perhaps you’ll find it useful for your case- Team Members - Add Team Showcase plugin to your Website (2024)

As for the Flipbox widget itself and the options mentioned in your comment, we’ll try to consider it in our future enhancements.

The Flipping Boxes widget offers an excellent way to bring text and images to life. Ordinary-looking content boxes “flip” as the site-visitor hovers, revealing a back side with another image, additional text and a linked button.
