Hey, @charles_johnson !
I see you have a SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<’
Max can help you with that on Monday! Because right now it’s the weekend!
Hi there, @charles_johnson and welcome to the Community
I’ve checked your website and the popup appeared on my end:
Could you please double-check it? If the issue still persists, please check your website in your browser’s incognito mode and let me know how it works there
Sorry but that’s not the popup i am talking about. That’s the wrong popup.
You are the second person to reply with the wrong popup.
I sent a pic of the popup and the widget but the community is still checking the wrong popup.
Ah, my bad, apologies for the inconvenience!
However, I’ve checked this page and see only the Contact Us popup is installed there (no installation code on the page). If the widget is installed on another page of your website, could you please send me a link to this page?
If the widget should be installed on the homepage, our Support Team will help you add it there. Please request the installation in your dashboard and our support agents will reach out to you as soon as possible
Hi Max
Just tried adding the widget again and this time it worked.
Did not do anything different just cut and paste the widget like the install instructions say.
It could be that i have 2 widgets on the same page ?
It could also be my server but again i don’t think so.
I have a linux dedicated server and my own static ip address.
All of this have never been an issue before.
Here is a pic of the landing page where i added the widget to test again.
Bottom right corner.
Thank you
Charles
Hi there, @charles_johnson
Multiple popups can be installed on the same page and should work fine. To understand what goes wrong, we need temporary access to your website’s backend:
-
login link
-
temporary login
-
temporary password
Please send me this info in a personal message. For this, click on my profile image and choose Message
Hi Max
Thank you for reaching out.
Regarding your request for
-
login link
-
temporary login
-
temporary password
We do not allow these types of access requests to our server.by 3rd parties.
Years ago we use to provide accessibility to all 3rd party support.
This would usually result in damage to our server.
We would have to go in and clean up the mess to get the server back up and running.
Our server runs python, java, css, html and all the rest..
There is simply no software or scripts or coding that our server cannot handle.
The problem is with the widget.
It appears that your developers may need to rewrite the code
We have also noticed slowness with your editor along with scripts not rendering correctly and sometime not rendering at all even
if we refresh the page.
Also, what you see after the codes are finally rendered correctly do not always visually appear the same when
installed on our server.
We find ourselves performing work arounds to get the widgets to look like what we see in your editor.
We have never mentioned these issues to the support community because the problems were basically just here and there.
But now they are increasing as your widgets become more advanced and sophisticated.
We now find ourselves searching the internet for similar programs that work and are reasonably priced.
Thank you
CHarles
Hi there, @charles_johnson
I completely understand your point, but unfortunately, there is no way to identify what’s causing the issue without being able to access the website directly.
We even tried checking your site using developer tools to see if there were any errors blocking the widget, but we’re unable to inspect it properly because of your website’s restrictions:
The differences in the widget’s appearance on the website appear because of the conflicts with the styles of the website. To find the exact reason for the issue, we need to inspect your website using the Dev Tools.
If you have an opportunity to enable right-clicks (to open Ded Tools) on your website, we’d gladly check these issues for you.
As for the issues with the editor, please send us a video screencast of the issue and a screenshot of the Dev Console. I’d be happy to look into this with the devs
Hi Max
Thank you for reaching out to try and resolve this problem.
Unfortunately we simply do not allow viewing of our source codes.
Highly skilled hackers no how to work around the no right click and can therefore
see the source code. However, the average person
has no idea how to do this so the no right click provides
another layer of protection for a website.
It’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s just the rules we have in place.
However we do make exceptions if our hosting provider needs to provide tech support
and see the source codes then we remove the
no right click until the support has been completed and then add the no right click back to the source code.
We have a dedicated server and a dedicated ip address to further ensure the power we need
to run the domains and the websites we build and to also provide that extra layer of protection.
The widget we are having the issue with is the only one and for the most part we have tried all of them
that we feel would be a good addition to our websites.
Therefore i still believe that the problem is the way the developer built the widget.
Also we simply cannot change any of the source codes just to get a single widget to work no matter
how much we desire to implement that widget.
Therefore i am asking you to not proceed with any further offer to resolve the widget problem.
We have already deleted it from our apps.
Again, thank you for trying.
Best
Charles
Ah, I am sooo sorry that you’ve decided to remove the widgets, but I completely understand your decision.
What I’d like to explain is that our widgets work great on most websites, but some issues might occur due to various reasons like platform peculiarities, conflicts with the website styles, iframes, etc.
Our devs usually fix these issues if we can check possible reasons, but I completely get your points about additional security measures.
If you decide to give us a second chance, we’ll do our best to help! And we’re always happy to see you on our forum - don’t hesitate to contact us here if any questions come up
Thank you Max.
Best
Charles
