@Better_Host I’m afraid we don’t have an ETA to share (just to avoid false expectations), but we’ll make sure to keep you in the loop here ![]()
Would LOVE to see custom translations be an option in the near future. While the widget is great, it definitely makes some blatant errors which would be great if they could be custom corrected. Hopefully see this as a feature soon!
Welcome to the Community, @Hannah_Collinson ![]()
Thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts!
We are also hopeful the devs will roll out this feature as soon as possible, and we’ll make sure to update you here in case of any news ![]()
Update: the feature was moved to the Development stage! ![]()
Hi Max! Is there any update on the feature and when you’re expecting it to go live? Thank you
Hi there, @Shanah_Monardo and welcome to the Community ![]()
The feature is already in its final stage and is going to be released in April ![]()
Hi Max, this is great news! I was wondering - with the custom translation setting, will we be able to set up the widget’s translation logic to ignore extra URL parameters and matches only the base URL?
I am asking because I tried another widget recently that allowed custom translations, but it was unable to ignore additional URL parameters. Which meant that anytime visitors came to my website through a link that automatically adds extra parameters to the URL (like “fbclid” from Facebook, for example), my custom translation for the base URL was not showing up - the visitors were seeing the widget’s automatic translation instead (which was often inaccurate).
Hi there, @user32600 ![]()
Worry not, custom translations will work on all pages, where the widget is installed. And even if the URL has extra parameters, it still should work fine ![]()
Yaaay! Wonderful news! I am really looking forward to the release, then!!!
Thanks Max!
