  • Issue description: I have tried the Blog and the Portfolio widgets

The blog only allows 1 featured image and text
And the Portfolio allows several images and video (which is fantastic) but only allows 1 block of text at the beginning.

What I would like is to be able to have is a more traditional blog style, with a featured image. Text and then an image, and text and then an image or video and then text etc.

With all the other features that both of the widgets offer like categories, authors etc.

Any ideas how I can do this please?

  • Link to the page with the widget in question:
I have not published the Portfolio widget as I already have the blog posted on my site.

    Thank you in advance

Hello there, @Elle_Pinkard :waving_hand:

Yes, this is possible with the Blog widget. You can add multiple text blocks, images, and other content within a single post.

The featured image is added separately using the dedicated upload field. Then, in the post content below, you can click the + button to add additional blocks — for example, text, another image, more text, another image, and so on.

Here is how it may look:

This setup will help you create the more traditional blog layout you described while still keeping the Blog widget’s other features, such as categories and authors.

Give it a try and let me know if this is what you were looking for

Many thanks for the splendid reply, that is perfect
My next question is I added a code block, in the blog post to link to an instagram post using this link (I have taken out the direct link), but it keeps showing the code and not link to my instagram post, what am I doing wrong?

See my journey

Sure! The Code block is meant for showing the code snippets right in the post.

In your case, you just need to highlight your text (See my journey), select a Link option and paste your link :slightly_smiling_face:
