Right now, widget does not validate Email and Phone entries. I used several fake emails and phone numbers. The form was processed anyway. Please incorporate both an Email and Phone validator.
Hi @AeroConsultants, nice to see that you’re a regular here ![]()
Speaking of your request, I see where you’re coming from!
The thing is, we have validation for emails and phone numbers in our Forms, meaning we check for valid formats of them. Your request seems to be more complex, as you want us to verify the email and phone number’s ability to receive messages, if I got it right.
I consulted the team regarding the implementation of such feature, and they let me know that it would be quite complicated to add in the nearest future, unfortunately. But we consider each and every one of our clients’ ideas, so we might look into this someday.
We’ll keep you posted ![]()
Hi @Irene,
Thanks for the fast reply. I don’t expect both the email and phone number validation features to be added in the near future, however, it is doable.
On the positive side of things, I have contacted QuickEmailVerification Support and they have provided me with a method to validate emails within your AI Chatbot widget. Our team is currently testing the method. If successful, I will let you know.
Hint: Please consider asking your Dev Team to contact QuickEmailVerification Support to see if they can help them implement both an email and phone validation method for your widget. If they can help you, the “synergy” and outcome would benefit all. Heck, you may even be able to get on their Integrations list. Note: We are not affiliated with QuickEmailVerification.
Thanks a lot for the great insights! I’ll pass this along to my team ![]()
However, I just wanted to mention that at least for the near future, we’re unlikely to prioritize email and phone validation features, as the team is currently focused on other urgent tasks.
Still, I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us — it’s super helpful to get your feedback! We’ll definitely keep you in the loop if anything changes ![]()
