Add anything with a stock ticker

I see there are already requests for adding items to the widget, but what I propose is adding the ability to add anything with a ticker. This would fulfill Wishlist requests already made AWA the ability to add mutual funds, all index funds, individual stocks, and mutual funds. The goal is to be able to benchmark current holdings against relevant stock indexes or index funds. This would provide several benefits:

  • Determine if I’m beating the market, or vice-versa.
  • Provide a quick view of portfolio balance (i.e., am I over over-weighted or under-weighted in one or more segments?)
  • You get the idea… :slightly_smiling_face:

I currently use a mobile app for this purpose, but if I discover that adjustments are needed, I have to wait till I have computer access before I can act on the info (and hopefully the market doesn’t close in the meantime!). I’m currently using the ‘My Stocks Portfolio’ app, which does all of this, and is available on both Android and iOS. Having this ability in a widget would take things to the next level!

I agree that it would be awesome to freely add any stocks, index funds, etc to the widget. Let’s see if this idea gets traction with other users :slightly_smiling_face:
