Website Review #3: In-Depth Analysis of the Fitness Website

This time around, we’re taking a closer look at Dmitry’s (@user35174) personal fitness website. The website has great potential, and we’re super excited to break it down!

Let’s see what’s clicking and where there’s room for a little more muscle :person_lifting_weights:

What’s working well?

Dmitry’s website has a professional, clean feel, and these are the elements that really caught our attention:

High quality personal photo

Dmitry added his authentic photo in sportswear right on the first screen, which is a really smart move.

Visitors see a real person instead of just a generic brand, which instantly builds trust and makes them want to keep reading:

Clear messaging right from the start

The headline “Fitness Trainer in Moscow” along with key details like the format, techniques, plans, and adjustments make it crystal clear what the website is about.

No guessing — visitors know exactly what they can expect!

Two clear service options

The “In-Person” and “Online” buttons on the first screen are a great touch. It’s clear that there are options, and visitors can easily choose what works best for them with just a click:

Interactive quiz for choosing a format

The “Select a format in 60 seconds” quiz is an engaging way to help visitors pick the right training option while also collecting useful info for Dmitry:

Free 10-minute consultation

Offering a no-strings-attached consultation is a great, low-pressure way to get potential clients on board:

Comprehensive FAQ section

The FAQ section addresses key concerns upfront, from training frequency to diet and weight loss, demonstrating Dmitry’s expertise:

High performance

The website performs excellently across various performance checkers, meaning it loads quickly, offering a great user experience:

What could be improved?

We’ve outlined some key areas for improvement, divided into three priority levels:

Quick fixes

Add spacings between the website sections

The flow of the page feels a bit too continuous, especially on mobile, where it can be difficult to distinguish one section from the next:

[!Tip] Recommendation
Adding some spacing between the sections will create a more structured look and make the page feel less cluttered.

Medium Priority

Consider moving reviews to the homepage

While the “Reviews From My Clients” section is great, it’s buried on a separate About page, which means many visitors might miss it. Testimonials are a powerful trust-building tool and can significantly impact decisions:

[!Tip] Recommendation
Consider placing your Comments widget with reviews on the homepage — perhaps between the services section and the free consultation. This will ensure visitors see them and can use them to help with their decision-making process.

[!todo] Tip
To make the widget blend seamlessly with the design of the website, customize it to match the site’s style: use black and white colors with red accents to keep it in line with the overall aesthetic.

Add unique icons for each step of the first training

The “What’s included in the first training” section feels repetitive, as all four steps look identical. This can make it harder for visitors to focus on each step:

[!Tip] Recommendation
Make each step visually distinct by adding unique icons or presenting them as separate cards with different designs. This will help visitors easily scan and remember the steps.

Long-term Plans

Add a section with before/after results

Client reviews are key for building trust, but displaying real before-and-after photos is even more powerful.

It not only demonstrates the effectiveness of your work but also adds authenticity, which can draw in more potential clients :rocket:

[!Tip] Recommendation
Add a gallery showcasing your clients’ results directly on the homepage.

Dmitry’s website is already well-constructed, offering a seamless experience for visitors. These suggested improvements will help engage more users, better explain the services, and increase sign-ups.
