Website Review #20: Honest Feedback for Web Design Site

Up for review this week is Pageflix PRO, a web design agency based near Munich that’s spent 15 years building sites for small businesses — craftsmen, medical practices, and similar clients. 400+ projects and an average client relationship of 8 years say a lot on their own.

Let’s see how the site holds up :backhand_index_pointing_down:

What’s working well?

A few pieces on the website really click:

Price calculator

Pick your goal, current site status, any extra modules, and it gives you a ballpark price right away. Most agencies make you call and ask instead, so this removes a real barrier for anyone comparing options.

Pricing starts at a real number

299 euros, listed in both the calculator and the “Über uns” section, with hosting priced separately at 20 euros a month. No guessing before you even reach out:

Case studies with actual client names

Royal Finish, Eco-Swiss — each one names the client, the industry, and the problem that got solved. That’s a lot more convincing than a vague “trusted by many” line:

Reviews with real names and titles

Dr. Meyer, Steffi Berger, Dirk Jürgens — each review comes with a job title and company attached, which reads as a lot more credible than an anonymous star rating:

A clear list of what's included

Hosting, email, GDPR compliance, Impressum, basic SEO, support — all spelled out as part of the base package, so nothing shows up as a surprise later:

FAQ that covers the real questions

Sixteen questions dig into hidden costs, cancellation terms, timelines, and data security. For visitors who might be hiring a web designer for the first time, that kind of clarity matters:

What Could Be Improved?

We also noticed a few things that could use some work:

Only two case studies for 400+ sites

Royal Finish and Eco-Swiss are great examples, though they’re the only two on the page. A craftsman or a local clinic browsing through might not spot their own industry among them.

[!note] Recommendation
Add 3-4 more case studies from different industries.

Page sections sit too tight

Text, cards, and blocks throughout the page sit quite close togethe, and the sections start to blend into each other:

[!note] Recommendation
Add more space between sections and within cards and text blocks. The content would be easier to scan with a bit more breathing room.

The Leistungen illustration feels AI-generated

The graphic next to the “Pageflix-Fundament” icons feels AI-generated, which stands out for an agency that sells design work:

[!note] Recommendation
Replace it with a clean, custom graphic, or remove the illustration altogether.

Optional service cards are text-only

Nine cards cover things like Google Business Profile setup and appointment scheduling, but each one is just a heading and a paragraph, so it’s easy to scroll past without reading closely:

[!note] Recommendation
Add a small icon to each card and trim the descriptions to a line or two — details can come up during contact.

'Connect with us' stands out in English

Everything else on the site is in German, so this line in the footer reads as an oversight rather than a deliberate choice:

[!note] Recommendation
Swap it for “Folgen Sie uns” or “Verbinden Sie sich mit uns” to keep the whole site in one language.

Final thoughts

Pageflix PRO already gets two of the hardest things right — transparent pricing and case studies with real client names attached. Filling out the portfolio and giving the page more room to breathe would make everything else just as easy to trust.
