Hello, I am new to Elfsight, and i find that the volume slider on the audio player widget is difficult to near impossible to use reliably. I cannot make small incremental volume adjustments either up or down, the slider is hypersensitive and jumps way up, or all the way down to mute. I planned on using the audio widgets for customers, but the volume control is super frustrating, it is essentially useless. Is this something that can be fixed?
I’ve just tested one of the widgets in your account and the volume slider is wroking fine there - it’s possible to adjust the volume using small increments:
Does it work the same way on your end and you’d like to make it even smoother?
Or does the Volume control function differently on your end? If so, please send me a link to the page, where your widget is installed
Hey, Max,
Thanks for responding. I should have been clearer, the issue with the volume slider occurs on all of my widgets, I have 8 of them installed. And, most importantly, im testing them on my iphone snd ipad, not my PC, so using my fingers its impossible to calibrate the volume. I never tried it with a mouse, but i am sure mist of my customers will use their phone or tablet, so its important to get this sorted out.
My widgets are subscriber only, so i can’t share the url to them, but please test on your end using a touch screen snd finger, then ket me know what its like for you. Thanks!
Our devs looked into the issue, and it appeared to be specific to iPhones only. Unfortunately, it’s something we can’t fix on our end. I am really sorry!
To prevent any confusion, we’ve removed the volume control only for iPhone users.
I hope this clarifies things.
If you have any questions left or any assistance is needed, we’ll be happy to help!
Thanks for the update. Not what I wanted to hear, but better to remove the feature rather than frustrate users. Thus may be an issue for me in the longer term, as the player snd the volume adjustment feature was a significant marketing feature that made the cost benefit ratio better, as I am planning a commercial release of my service soon and worry my adoption rate will be adversely affected by this issue for the majority if mobile users. But hopefully the impact is minor.
Best,
