Temporary “Pause” Control for AI Chatbot?

Solved: - see below

Would it make sense to add a Pause control in the AI Chatbot edit panel to temporarily disable the chatbot—similar to how it behaves when licensed views are exceeded?

Earlier today, we were troubleshooting an unrelated sitemap issue on our website. While the chatbot wasn’t the cause, at one point during testing it would have been helpful to temporarily disable the chatbot on our site.

For the Elfsight team, the challenge could be to provide a clear and unmistakable indicator that the chatbot has been paused intentionally—so the feature doesn’t create unnecessary support cases.

I’m curious to hear others’ thoughts: would a Pause feature create more problems than it might solve?

Hi there, @Paul_D :waving_hand:

Many thanks for sharing your idea with us!

I’d like to let you know that you can hide/show the widgets on your websites when needed using the option in the dashboard:

Would it work for you, or you’d prefer to always keep the widget on the website, but show the “disabled” notification?

Max, that’s exactly what I was looking for.

Shall I delete this Wishlist item?

That’s awesome!

No need to delete the topic, I’ve just moved to the General Questions category
