Could you please specify why you’d prefer using .gz files rather than the website URL for the sitemap scraping? This would help us understand your use case better

We’ve chosen to use compressed .gz sitemaps because it reduces network bandwidth usage and improves submission efficiency. Furthermore, using .xml.gz is a standard supported by the official Sitemaps protocol and is recommended practice by Google, Bing, and the SEO community.
