I have a website using Squarespace and the chatbot widget adds an extra area under the footer of the site for some reason. I’ve tried changing the settings but the white area at the bottom persists.

You see this white space due to our information panel. You’re the only person who can see it, and you can only see it when you’re logged in to your Elfsight account. It’s displayed for you as the account owner.
When you log out of the account, you won’t see this either white space or the panel, and your website visitors never ever see it at all.
You can check the widget on your website in incognito mode to make sure that no one else can see it. Here is special article about it - Why I see a panel above my widget

Yes I know about that white area. I’m talking about the white area at the bottom of my website. It can be seen all the time under the exiting footer. I followed the video instructions and added the code to the footer section and once activated it adds a white space to the bottom of my website.

From my understanding, To the start of the page and the way down there has been a White Line at the bottom of the screen and to be precise if we scroll down to footer its even below “Cookie Preferences”?
If not, are you able to provide a screenshot describing the area to look at.

Yes, the white are below the footer appears because of the informational panel and visible only to you, when you’re logged in to your Elfsight account.
I’ve checked your website and the white space at the bottom of the page isn’t displayed on my end:
Could you please check your website in your browser’s incognito mode and let me know if the white space appears there?
I was curious about this detail as well I noticed it months ago, after this user explained it showed up once he installed the widget I knew it was something to do with Elfsight, then I check my personal chrome profile we’re I’m not signed into Elfsight and it wasn’t there anymore!
