Social widgets: Enjoy improved keyboard navigation

We’ve enhanced the keyboard navigation in our Social widgets :hammer_and_wrench:

  • A visible focus ring has been added to links, buttons, and tabs

  • The tab in the carousel/slider scrolls through posts and loads more posts

  • After Load More, focus on the first new post

Glad to see this but I’m seeing a problem on vertical RSS feed. After tabbing through the selections, it’s jumbling the text and making it unreadable, though a page refresh fixes it. See the Before & After example below. There are several feed sources configured and in this example it only seems to happen to the slashdot feeds.

Horizontal carousel display seems unaffected, and all sources display okay.

Thanks for flagging this up!

Please let me check this issue with the devs and I’ll update you once I have any news

Hi there, @Bob_Wilson :waving_hand:

It appeared that the existing widgets use the previous version, but you can switch them to the latest version in the dashboard:

Check it out and let me know if it helped

Not only did it fix the tabbing issue but it fixed a problem I didn’t even know I had! Notice in the ‘Before’ image above that there is a different font size between the slashdot and Techcrunch feeds. I always thought it was inheriting that from the source. Nope. Now, not only is the original issue resolved, but the font sizing is uniform between feed sources.

Wow, that’s great that one more issue has been eliminated and the widget looks better now!

Thanks a bunch for the feedback, Bob :slightly_smiling_face:
