I am new to Elfsight, and it is so relieving having web applications available. I love my website builder, but it does lack social engagement features, and I am so glad how easily the comment web app works. Now I can have anyone comment on my blog posts, and build social engagement. I am also interested in a forum plugin.
Now I already saw the topic here created years ago about the same request, and I understand that there are some technical issues on how to pursue it, according to what one of the developers said. So my next suggestion would be if it could be possible to add a Google Groups plugin. It is a forum based Google website. And the only other one I am familiar with is ProBoards, but the design really needs updating.
Google Groups currently does not allow embedding, but if Elfsight and Google Groups could collaborate, what do you think? I look forward to your response.
I understand your interest in embedding Google Groups onto your website. However, as you’ve correctly mentioned, Google Groups currently does not support embedding its content into other platforms, which makes it impossible for us to offer this feature at the moment.
We appreciate your idea, but I am afraid collaboration with Google Groups is impossible now, that’s why we won’t be able to incorporate your idea.

No that’s okay. I appreciate you taking the time to explain to me the limitations. And I misunderstood. I thought there were technical issues on Google’s end, which is why they were not allowing embedding, but if it is an intentional decision, then that is different. And the more I think about it, it makes sense. They have a website builder themselves, so they would not want people to use their products to embed to other competitors.
