New user of the plugin here, but i think we will have to find an alternative unfortunately. When we are running events we need to be able to see LinkedIn updates on the website quickly.
Hello there, @user26865 ![]()
I completely understand how important faster updates are for your workflow, and I sincerely apologize that we havenât been able to deliver a solution yet.
As Helga mentioned earlier, this idea isnât abandoned, but itâs hard to share the timeline due to the complexity of the task.
Weâre hopeful the devs will be able to consider this idea in the upcoming updates. If any news comes up, weâll promptly inform you here ![]()
A huge thank you for your comment and pointing us in this direction - thatâs much appeciated!
Hey there! Any news on this issue? I am ready to purchase but this 48 hour delay is a huge problem.
Hi there and welcome to the Community, @Yulie_Raftopoulou ![]()
Thank you so much for the feedback!
I totally get your feelings, but, unfortunately, we donât have any news for now. While itâs hard to predict when this feature might be in development, we promise to keep you posted on any progress right here ![]()
I got recommended Elfsight many times. So when I looked for a way to embed LinkedIn into a WordPress site this was on the top of the list.
However, unfortunately it seems you donât show (maybe on purpose?!) the very important information about the refresh/update rate. This should be mentioned at least on the pricing page.
Now after I set up everything, paid for the full year, I noticed you have a 48 hours update rate. 48 hours in social media in 2025 is pretty much like 1 to 2 weeks. Itâs a no go these days.
I came to this thread, and I am seeing pretty much the only thing that is said in here that âitâs a complex taskâ.
I also hear it is a LinkedIn API limitation, but is it really?
I checked out 4 other tools and all of them have normal expected feed update times (between 30 minutes and a few hours). Maybe they also have a manual way to update the feed, I did not check. But with Elfsight there is nothing like that: 48 hours and not even a manual way to refresh.
This is open for almost 2 years already.
Good morning,
I agree wholeheartedly with what is written in this post.
The problem has been going on for too long to dismiss the issue with âweâre working on itâ.
Therefore, I would like some clarity on the matter, and in any case, a manual update (if possible) could be an acceptable temporary solution.
I work mainly in the business-to-business sector, and LinkedIn is the most important social network.
In the absence of convincing answers, I think I will have to turn my attention to other services.
Hello there, friends @user28293 , @Tiziano_Fontanelli ![]()
Many thanks for your thoughtful comments!
You see, our goal has always been to keep our plans as affordable as possible while still offering full functionality â even on free plans. The main obstacle is that implementing this would come with a high cost, which could significantly raise the subscription price. Since the current cache time is not an issue for the majority of our users, weâve tried to prioritize keeping things affordable.
At the same time, we completely understand your concerns and agree that it would be great to have new posts updated faster. While there is no way to reduce the cache time or implement manual update now, weâre actively exploring solutions and will keep you updated as soon as we have any news.
@user28293, youâve also made a good point about the clarity of our pricing info â thank you for calling that out! I apologize that it wasnât as clear as it should be. For full details on how caching works, you can check out our Help Center here:
Iâll definitely pass your suggestions along to the team regarding both cache timing and pricing structure.
Thanks again for your contribution! Weâre so glad to have users like you who are dedicated to improving the app for everyone ![]()
@Max I was about to write this same post - word for word. I am signed up for a year, the widget is installed, and then I find there is the 48 hour delay.
Looks like your user community is driving this to be solved.
Hi there, @Chris_Britton and welcome to the Community ![]()
Thanks a lot for pointing us in this direction!
We totally get how useful it would be to see new posts faster for our users. While we canât make that change just yet, our devs are already looking into ways to cut down the cache time, and weâre hopeful theyâll find a decent solution.
Weâll keep you posted here as soon as thereâs any news ![]()
I AGREE. We have clients that are syndicated authors and need their posts immediately on their site.
Thanks for supporting the idea and welcome to the Community, @misskim_lankford ![]()
Our shipping news ends up 3, 4 or 5 days later - sadly way too old for such sensitive newsâŚ.
Greetings and welcome to the Community, @Sarah_Gilhespie-Smyr ![]()
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
I completely understand how that a shorter update period is really important in cases like yours.
We truly hope, the devs will be to reduce the cache time in the future. As soon as we have any news, weâll promptly update you here ![]()
Any updates on this matter? 2026 and the problem is still the same.
Welcome to the Community, @user27238 ![]()
Much as weâd love to share an update, unfortunately, we havenât got any news yet. I am really sorry ![]()
As soon as we have more info from the devs, weâll immediately inform you right here!
Please add this! The LinkedIn widget is not nearly as useful to paying customers on such a long delay!
Thanks for upvoting the idea and welcome to the Community, @user35284 ![]()
Weâll keep you posted here in case of any changes ![]()
