Hello, I’ve been looking around to find out what this event calendar plugin for Joomla actually entails, but I’m actually quite confused and have little insight into what it actually entails.
My main question is…
Can members of our website post their own events in this event calendar?
With their own text, date, and photo?

Unfortunately, this functionality isn’t supported now, but a request for this feature is already on the Wishlist. Feel free to upvote it here - Allow users to add events to the calendar.
