I would love the Job board to have an auto hide when the job has closed please.

@user2335 thanks a lot for sharing your idea, and welcome to the Elfsight Forum! 🤗

I’m afraid our widget will not be able to ‘know’ that the job is closed, and I’m not sure that this is something doable…

But maybe you could elaborate on your use case and provide the details of how you see such an option action? It would help me have a bigger picture of your request 🙂

Hi Helga

My thought was to have a ‘closing date’ field for the job and on this closing date the job auto hides.

</div>

So am I right that the only event by which the job should be hidden in a widget is a closing date that you set manually?

Yes, this is how other job boards work.

Thank you

Hi @user2335!

I’m afraid I don’t have any news at this point, I’m very sorry ☹

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that we’ll start working on this feature in our near updates, but let’s hope we’ll think about it later 🙏🏻

Hi all!
I was wondering if there was any way to put an expiration date on a job on the job board so I don’t need to remove it after the duration of the post manually.

Hi there, @toby_mathew 👋

Currently, it’s impossible to set the expiration date for the job and automatically hide it after expiration. However, we already have this idea on the Wishlist, and I’ve merged your comment with the existing request.

If more users support this idea, it might be considered in the future 🙂

I really need this feature in order to continue using the Elfsight platform. Our job board has recently been growing exponentially and it is impossible for us to actively monitor which posts are closed and not. We recently started asking employers to provide an application close link and would love to set the board to automatically hide the post when the application closes.

People have been requesting this simple feature for over 3 years! With all your focus on chat bots is great some of these simpler more used widgets need a bit of focus or people will jump platforms! 3 years is long enough for any community ideas to either come to fruition or not!

Hello @Lucy_Roberts, @Scott4,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us!

We completely understand why this feature is important for you, especially when managing a growing job board with many active posts. We also understand the frustration of waiting for a feature you’ve been asking for for a long time.

We’d love to move faster on every Wishlist request, but with thousands of ideas shared by our users, we have to carefully prioritize what we work on first. When reviewing requests, we consider different factors, including the number of votes, the impact for our users, and the complexity of implementation.

I also want to clarify that the Wishlist is a place where we collect and discuss ideas from our community, but it’s not a product roadmap. We review these requests regularly and use them to better understand what matters most to our users, but we can’t promise that every idea will be released or provide specific timelines.

That said, your feedback is absolutely valuable, and I’ll make sure to share it with the team so they’re aware of the importance of this feature.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts and help us improve 🙂
