Instagram Feed: [MAJOR UPDATE] Tags & Mentions, advanced filtering, new layouts, styles and more! ⚡

We’ve spent the last few weeks working on a big upgrade for Instagram Feed, and we’re excited to finally share the results with you!

This release brings new customization options, ways to display and filter Instagram content, revamped design and more. Let’s take a closer look :backhand_index_pointing_down:

What’s new?

Mentions & Tags source

Meet the new Mentions & Tags source! :sparkles:

Now you can bring posts where your Instagram account is mentioned or tagged directly into your feed. Just enter your username, and the widget will take care of the rest.

Type of content to show filters

Want more control over what appears in your feed? The new Content Type filters let you choose exactly which posts to display:

  • Videos
  • Images
  • Carousel posts
  • Reels

<br

Pick the content types that fit your feed best and show only what matters to your visitors.

Date filter

You can now filter posts by date and display only content published after a specific date.

This helps keep your feed more relevant and focus visitors’ attention on your latest content.

New layouts, headers and post styles

We’ve refreshed the look of Instagram Feed with new design options and updates:

  • Added a new Masonry layout

  • Improved Grid and Slider layouts

  • Added 12 header styles in total, with available options depending on the sources connected to your widget.

  • Updated post styles with a more modern look

Layout settings are now also available directly in the Settings tab

New Theme control

We’ve added Theme Control with 7 ready-made themes to help you quickly update the look of your widget.

Need more flexibility? Open Customize Theme to adjust individual elements manually.

Video autoplay

Now, you can automatically play videos right in your feed, enhancing user engagement without any extra clicks :sparkles:

The video autoplay is enabled by default. You can disable it if needed on the Settings tab:

Revamped popup

The post popup got a fresh look!

We’ve updated the viewing experience and added a new Slider style, making it smoother to browse through posts:

Replace default texts with your custom variants

Now you can easily swap the default text elements of the widget (for example, Load More button) with words and phrases you need.

You can find this option in the Language section (Edit Texts) on the Settings tab:

Google Analytics integration

A new Google Analytics integration is now available for Instagram Feed :bar_chart:

Track how visitors interact with your widget and get more insights into content performance.

Important details :exclamation:

All the features mentioned are only available in widgets created after this release.

Here’s why we decided to apply this update to new widgets:

  • Many users have custom codes in the Custom CSS and JS fields, and this release could break them

  • The new widget version is built on modern technologies and isn’t fully compatible with the old ones

You can manually update your existing widget from the dashboard, but please note that any custom CSS or JS code currently added to the widget will be removed during the update.

Want to move to the latest version while keeping your custom CSS or JS? Leave a comment in this thread — our developers will be happy to help
