Improving Review Readability via Paragraph Breaks

1. The Problem

Currently, the Elfsight widget displays reviews as a single, continuous block of text. When a review is detailed—like the one from Cherie Chen—key information gets lost.

  • Reduced Scannability: Readers often skip long blocks of text.

  • Lower Impact: The “before and after” narrative of the treatment is less effective when the transition isn’t visually clear.

2. The Solution: Intelligent Line Breaks

We should introduce a double line break (standard paragraph spacing) to separate the reviewer’s initial medical history from their experience with Dr. Yang.

Current View:

…due to the ankle pain. Dr. Yang used unique acupuncture techniques…

Proposed View:

…due to the ankle pain.

Dr. Yang used unique acupuncture techniques…

3. Expected Outcome

By breaking the text, we emphasize the success of the treatment. The reader’s eye will naturally land on the second paragraph starting with “Dr. Yang used unique acupuncture techniques,” which is exactly the message you want to highlight.

Hi there, @Derrick_Yang :waving_hand:

Many thanks for such a detailed comment!

I totally agree that keeping the original review structure with paragraphs is really important.

We’ll try to consider this improvement in the future, especially if more users support this idea :slightly_smiling_face:
