How can I change imported Google Calendar event titles to display custom text

Hi everyone,

I’m using the Elfsight Event Calendar widget on my Squarespace website, and my widget is connected to a Google Calendar.

My Google Calendar contains imported iCal feeds from both Airbnb and VRBO. On my public website, the reservations currently display titles such as:

  • AirBnb: Reserved
  • VRBO: Reserved - James
  • Airbnb (Not available)

For privacy and a cleaner appearance, I’d like every imported reservation to display simply as:

Reserved

I don’t want to hide the reservation bars, I only want to change the text that appears on them.

I have already:

  • Connected the widget to Google Calendar.
  • Tried using Custom JS to replace the text after the widget loads.
  • Confirmed that the JavaScript validates, but it does not change the event titles on the live site.

Is there a supported way to:

  1. Override the displayed title for imported Google Calendar events, or
  2. Use Custom JS/CSS to replace all imported reservation titles with “Reserved” (including when navigating between months)?

Any working example would be greatly appreciated.
