I wish that the current templates for photo gallery can be use to display not just 1 collection of photos, but many collections.
So, instead of displaying the photo thumbnails which users click to see them again in a popup carousel, let each thumbnail be a collection’s featured thumbanail. For e.g., the guitar thumbnail can be a collection of guitar photos, the helmet thumbnail is another collection but of helmet photos, etc. Keep the options of grid and horizontal/vertical mansory as it is for the display of collection thumbnails.
Then, when user clicks on any of the collection thumbnails, it opens a popup as how it does now, but the thumbnail slider below the main display area will be thumbnails of images that are housed/grouped in the same collection. For e.g. when I click on the guitar thumbnail, I am expecting to see the slider of thumbnails to be a series of guitars, not repeated images of what I’ve seen in the previous screen.
The ability to add collection titles and description is very welcomed. Also the ability to add image title and description can still be kept as it is.
I really hope this feature can be rolled out because the opportunity to use this is great!
