# Google maps - Api key missing

- **Issue description:**

Hey guys, I’m currently having a wordpress website with the Google Maps plugin in version 2.4.2.

As you can see, my API key has been set and is valid

But all calls to the google place API are done without the API key and I don’t know why ?

This is an example of url called :

`https://www.google.com/maps/embed/v1/place?key=&q=1+rue+du+Peney+%C3%A0+BASSENS+%2873000%29&zoom=14`

As you can see, the API key is not set in the url
