Filter to include/exclude Instagram collabs

I’m running into a problem. I’m trying to connect my client’s Instagram account to the widget, but since I work with other companies, it’s pulling posts from those other accounts instead, and I can’t select the specific account I want to fetch posts from. I tried filtering by keywords and hashtags, but I end up having to apply too many filters. It’s not very practical. What I’m doing is connecting the account through the Instagram username, but without linking the business account. From what I could see, this way it doesn’t automatically retrieve the posts… Could you please help me with that?

Hi there, @Klayton :waving_hand:

If I got it right, you’d like to exclude collabs posts from the feed and show only your own posts. I totally understand that it’s not really handy to filter each collab posts by hashtag or keyword, but this is the only solution at the moment.

However, I agree that it would be amazing to have a special filter for this, and I’ve moved your suggestion to the Wishlist. If more users upvote this idea, we might think it over in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, Max!
Thanks for your reply!

Actually, what I meant is a bit different — when I connect my client Instagram business account, all the business accounts linked to my manager account it automatically load and show their posts together.

What I’d really like is the ability to choose which connected business account I want to load posts from, instead of importing posts from all of them at once.

That would make managing multiple brand profiles much easier. Thanks for adding this idea to the wishlist! :folded_hands:

Could you please send me the ID of your widget and specify the posts from different accounts you’d like to exclude?

Hi Max, thanks again for getting back to me!

Just to clarify — in the screenshot I shared, I’m currently using only the Instagram username (not connecting the account directly).

My concern is that the platform itself recommends connecting the Instagram Business account for better performance and reliability — so I’m afraid that, by not connecting it, the posts might stop loading properly or have limited functionality.

That’s why I was hoping there could be an option to choose which connected business account to load posts from once the connection is made.

Thanks again for your attention and for moving this suggestion to the Wishlist! :folded_hands:

I thought the connection was made through Business Manager, but today when I tried to connect again, it asked me to do it via Instagram — it even opened the Instagram login window. I’ll ask my client for the credentials then. Thanks again! ^^

Yep, this change was made just yesterday - Instagram Feed: Connect Business accounts without Facebook verification

Now you don’t have to connect business accounts via Facebook, since the widget uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login. Does it solve your issue?

I think it will solve the issue, yes!
But I haven’t requested my client’s credentials yet. For now, I’ll leave it as it is, but by Friday I’ll test it with the credentials to make sure everything works fine.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the reply! ^^
