Issue description: I have suggested question “how do I reset my password?”. The Q&A is in an uploaded file. Most of the time, it gives the right answer, but then the last 2 days, it’s given the user “I can’t answer that right now” and directs them to contact support.

Hi there, @user37176 and welcome to the Community ![]()
I’ve just tested your widget and it responds correctly:
I’ve also checked the history of your chats and see that there was an issue, but the latest replies were correct:
Could you please check it once again and let me know if the issue still persists?
It was working when I tested this morning. I just couldn’t figure out why it could not answer it twice to two other users. Any idea what caused the issue?
Please let me discuss it with the devs. I’ll report back as soon as I have any news ![]()
Hi there, @user37176 ![]()
The reason you’ve been seeing issues with the bot responses is due to some instability in the current model (ChatGPT 5-mini) used in the widget.
We’ll be upgrading all users to a more stable model (ChatGPT 5.4-nano) on Monday, which should fix the issue.
If you notice any inaccurate responses next week, please let us know. We’ll be happy to check it out ![]()
Hey @user37176,
While it can be frustrating at times, never expect AI chatbots (of any kind) to give the same answer twice. Expect similar answers and live with what it provides. We are experiencing the same issue, but through proper vetting, training, and monitoring we have significantly improved the chatbot’s answers.
Team Elfsight has also done a great job at improving the chatbot’s performance by adding new features and upgrading the LLM on a periodic basis.
At the end of the day, AI chatbots are simply “virtual humans” that need to be constantly trained. They ain’t as “smart” as we think they are – and we want them to stay that way.
Patience is key!
