I have a client that would like to color code/categorize locations by type, like restaurants, shops, etc. Is this possible? She is wanting to add to a website and it will be a paid version if this store locator is able to do what she wants.
This is just a sample of some of the locations we created. She likes the look, but would like to color code by type of business. Is there a way we can do that?

Yes. Restaurants one color, shops another, etc.

Or just the ability to make each location have a different icon to match the business type. like a plate and utensils, shopping bag, etc

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to customize the widget this way now. I am really sorry!

Thank you. Perhaps for now, the workaround will be to add the category after the name of the location, so people can search restaurants, shopping etc and have a list come up. She really likes the design of it. It is a very nice look in comparison to other map widgets.

Yep, this is the only workaround to add categories for now, but hopefully the devs will release this feature soon. We’ll make sure to update you [here](https://community.elfsight.com/t/categories-filters/44259) once any news comes up 🙂
