# Blog: How to work with text editor

We’ve heard some feedback that it’s not always clear how to write posts in the [Blog](https://elfsight.com/blog-widget/) widget, so we’ve put together this guide to help you out!

You can either create your post manually or let the AI generator do the work for you.

We’ve explained how to use the AI generator in more detail [here](https://community.elfsight.com/t/blog-introducing-ai-writer-feature/68758). But today, let’s learn how to create posts manually — and trust us, it’s easier than you think 😉

## **How to create a post manually**

Unlike other widgets where you may have to fill in settings fields, with the Blog widget, you get to type directly in the editor (both on desktop and mobile):

You may also wonder where is a list of formatting options? To bring it up, just press / on your keyboard and voilà! You’ll see a menu of editing tools at your fingertips:
