I would strongly encourage elfsight to add an AI powered menu import feature to the Restaurant Menu app. This feature could allow users to upload an existing menu in PDF or Word format, have the AI automatically identify menu categories, item names, descriptions, prices, and dietary labels, and then place that information directly into the app.
For restaurants with large or frequently updated menus, entering every item manually is extremely time consuming and increases the risk of pricing errors, missing items, and formatting inconsistencies. An intelligent import tool would significantly reduce setup time, make the app more accessible to busy restaurant owners, and provide a major advantage over competing menu applications.
The system could also allow users to review and approve the imported information before publishing, ensuring accuracy while still saving hours of manual work. Adding this capability would make the Restaurant Menu app much more efficient, modern, and valuable to both new and existing Elfsight customers.
